Have you enrolled in Amver yet? If not, why? Participation ensures the right ship, in the right place is sent to a maritime distress. Worried about where your vessel position information goes? Don't be worried. The U.S. Coast Guard saves it for about 45 days, using the vessel locations only for search and rescue cases. Wondering if participation will increase the burden of the bridge crew? Sending an Amver sail plan or routine position report takes less than five minutes. There really isn't a reason you shouldn't participate and with partnerships with several automated vessel tracking companies participation is easier than ever.
