Today's Bryant's Maritime Consulting newsletter (which you should subscribe to) had an interesting story issued by NATO. NATO recently warned yachtsmen that the Gulf of Aden and surrounding waters remain dangerous, not only for commercial vessels, but private yachts as well. Specifically, yachts should avoid the Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea and western Indian Ocean, north of 10 degrees south and west of 78 degrees east.
Stay safe and use common sense. Piracy remains a problem and small boats make enticing targets!
