Amver Car Carrier Saves 3

U.S. Coast Guard rescue personnel diverted the Amver participating Ro/Ro Asian Dynasty to rescue three people from a disabled sailboat 25 miles southwest of Freeport, Bahamas on Sunday, May 20, 2018.

The product tanker Navigator Gemini received a distress call from the 32-foot sailboat that it was taking on water. The Navigator Gemini then contacted the Coast Guard who immediately launched an Ocean Sentry aircraft and the Amver participating ship Asian Dynasty.

The South Koran flagged Ro/Ro agreed to divert, located the sailboat and rescued the three yachtsmen. The survivors were uninjured and stayed aboard the Asian Dynasty until it arrived in Nassau, Bahamas.

The Asian Dynasty enrolled in Amver on December 6, 1999 and has earned five Amver participation awards.
