The United States Geological Survey reported a 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Gulf of Alaska approximately 94 kilometers west of Craig, Alaska prompting officials to issue, then cancel a tsunami warning.
There are no current tsunami warnings for the Gulf of Alaska but authorities warn large waves are still possible. Amver vessels, and other boaters, should exercise caution.
